Downloading and installing the game client


First, download the client: Download







Press the "extract" button.




After installing has completed, open the client directory:







The current client version is 1.70.

If you were using an older version of the client you will need to apply patches in the correct order.

Example: Your client version is 1.58b.
Patches 1.61, 1.61b, 1.61c, 1.62, 1.64, 1.66, 1.70 need to be applied in that order.

Alternatively you can just download and install the latest version of the client.


Before launching the game client, please make sure it is running in reduced colour mode.

























Now you can open the game client:



When running the client for the first time, we recommend setting your system volume low to avoid loud music playing. Open the windowed client and adjust the music volume slider appropriately.






Note: When using MIDI playback, the system volume setting will partially override the ingame setting. Make sure to change system volume to an acceptable level first.



When switching back from MIDI to WAV playback, you need to configure the system volume again..

Now proceed to the section: Registering a new account

    The game shuts down itself even before logging in. How do i fix this?

      Make sure there are no cheat programs running or visible in Windows Explorer.

      Also look in the client directory. If there is a file named CrashReport it may indicate a problem.

    기본클라설치 한다음패치파일인 1.58b클라다운받으시고 까시면 data폴더가 생기는데 이파일을기존 까신 data 안에 들어가보시면 3개 폴더가 있는데 그대로 하나씩이동시켜 덮어씌어서 넣어주시고 600x800 풀스크린 드가심되요 계정생성은 처음 로그인화면에서 @아이디 암호 하시면 생성되고 생성되었다고뜨면 @빼고 아이디 암호치고 드가시면되용

      Make sure to use the correct startup scripts (800x600_fullscreen or 800x600_windowed).

      If the client doesn't open look in the client directory to see if a file named CrashReport has been created. This may indicate a problem.

      Ensure the anti-virus software is not interfering with the game. Set an exception for the darkeden client if necessary.

      Please make sure to run the game using compatibility mode setting (Reduced colour) : 16-Bits.
