The maintenance of 25 January has been completed.

The following tasks have been carried out:

• Disable Guild War until further notice

Account investigation status update part two

This notice is the second status update on the current service suspension situation as described earlier here and here.

Quite a few accounts have been investigated.

After the investigation has been completed, either partial or full, you will receive a mail that includes the list of IDs and Character names you've submitted.

Investigation status

There are three possible outcomes for the accounts.

APPROVAL - One or more accounts have been approved. You can connect to the game and continue playing. NOTE: If you still cannot connect, please contact us again by replying to the mail.

HOLD - One or more accounts have been (partially) investigated, but the investigation has been put on hold.

DENY - One or more accounts have been fully investigated and evidence beyond reasonable doubt was found the accounts were involved in violation of the rule that prohibits real money trades. The involved accounts have been permanently banned.

Accounts that are put on hold

Possible reasons for why the investigation might have been put on hold are:

• Incomplete or inaccurate information submitted.
• More time is needed for investigation.
• Other reasons (unspecified)

To make sure your request does not get delayed, please do submit accurate information.
As stated in the first notice: Please include a list with all your current accounts.

Accounts that are denied

If one or more of your accounts were denied then evidence beyond reasonable doubt was found and the ban is most likely correct.
You are free to submit a ban appeal if you think the decision was wrong.
Please submit a reply to the account status mail and write a proper ban appeal explaining why you think the decision is wrong. Do make sure to write a comprehensive explanation.

The maximum amount of characters that can be used for the ban appeal is 5000.
The minimum amount of characters that we recommend is at least 500.

The ban appeal should not include any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information such as bank accounts or statements.
• Appeals already used by other players, either full or partial.
• Bad language
  
• Offensive or vulgar words
• Swearing
• Racism
• Threats

In the case of denied accounts: Evidence is not provided by the administration for review.
The evidence contains confidential and sensitive information which can reveal how the rule violations are detected. While this information can be used to verify the investigation is indeed done properly, it can also be used by the rulebreakers to sabotage the investigation process. 

After your ban appeal has been received in good order a full investigation will be done again for the relevant account(s). This can take a long time.

If the second investigation has been completed, you will receive another mail regards the status of your account(s).

The server will be undergoing inspection on Monday 25 January at 23:00 CEST.

Game rules change

The game rules have been updated.

A quick summary of the changes that were made:

• Updated rule regards customer support abuse.
• Revised the restriction on account sales to also include transferring account by any other means.
• Added rule that prohibits account sharing.
• Revised the section on the account limit
• Revised the section on refunds.
• Clarified the section on rule violations and bans.
